The unspoiled region of Puglia is open for you to discover. Take this opportunity, as Villa Amore Bianco is perfectly located for exploring the beautiful South of Italy. Below, we are happy to provide you with an overview of the top locations to visit. We are also absolute foodies, passionate about food, discovering new recipes, and enjoying a delicious glass of prosecco or wine. We would also like to share our tips on places where you can enjoy a delicious meal, whether it's super tasty and basic, or trendy and luxurious. You can find it all in the beautiful South of Italy.
Ostuni (6km)
Of course, you can choose to stroll through Ostuni in the afternoon or enjoy an aperitivo and dinner in the evening. The steep streets and maze of small alleys make Ostuni a real eye-catcher or a 'must-see' in the South. Built on a hill with only whitewashed buildings, you can see it from afar.
There are countless cocktail bars to be found, but for us personally, the nicest is GIPAS, with beanbags between the tall buildings, music, and delicious cocktails decorated with fresh fruit. If you're lucky, you might spot a shooting star or follow fireflies – a nice mix of romance and cocooning with a lounge feeling.

Locorotondo (32km)
Locorotondo is also a super nice little town, with a few narrow streets forming the old center. Whitewashed houses, beautiful flowers on the facades, window sills, and along the alleys create a beautiful whole.
Be sure to take a walk there, and if you have the chance, go for a nice meal at Controra. Reserve a table outside in the evening and enjoy the sunset with views of the beautiful south. The tables are parked on the side of the street, so you sit right next to the railing of the valley. Beautiful and cozy, but the food was also really tasty.
Alberobello (40km)
The beautiful Alberobello is well-known for the stunning photos of the white trulli (white houses with a conical roof).
You walk through the older narrow alleys surrounded by the beautiful old trulli, from a restaurant with panoramic views to a small shop with typical regional herbs, oils, and so much more. The alleys are surrounded by beautiful colorful plants that are indispensable on your beautiful family photos.
The souvenir shops should not be missed either. Despite it being really busy in the summer, it is really a must-see if you are in the area. Outside the old center you can also enjoy the view of countless trulli, but then surrounded by olive groves and lots of greenery. Some already renovated and others waiting to be renovated someday. The trulli are so popular.

Monopoli (56km)
A picturesque harbor, full of a beautiful diversity of brightly colored boats in the summer, a nice short walk with a view of the Adriatic Sea next to the edge of the city. It is really so beautiful and the food is also tasty.
2 places we would definitely recommend: Enjoying peace and the family or just cozy as a couple, back to the origin, enjoying something simple but oh so cozy. When walking in the alleys, a small café called The King, 3 tables but the walls surrounded by board games, choose a game, there are also classics that are possible in every language (Uno, Scrabble, ...) order a nice cup of coffee or a glass of prosecco and enjoy your time together, no cell phones, no obligations, real rest and relaxation.
For a tasty lunch or dinner, restaurant Komera, fish is the main attraction here, but meat is also possible, a very extensive menu, tasty food and good service.
Taranto (62km)
Looking for a mix of sun, sea and shopping, then this is "the place to be". From the edge of the old center you walk along the sea towards the new part, here you can find countless shops for a fun day of shopping. Also in the winter months around Christmas, for example, you can shop here. Car-free shopping streets complete your day. Back towards the old center you can find countless restaurants. In restaurant Al Canale, located right next to the canal, you can enjoy a delicious dinner. This is already one of the better restaurants, with delicious wines and, in the summer, tables by the canal that complete the view. Here you can enjoy, among other things, various delicious fish dishes.
Polignano a mare (64km)
Known for its location on steep rocks, a small cove that has become a very busy seaside resort where many venture into the sea for a swim in the summer or even a dive from the high cliffs for the daredevils among us. But one of the most enchanting parts for us is the cave, Grotta Palazzese, a restaurant located in a cave, on one side the cave itself and on the other side the sea. You can make reservations online, you choose a time and if you can, you should opt for the time around sunset. A wonderful romantic dinner is guaranteed. It should also be on the list of the most beautiful and breathtaking restaurants. You also don't have to worry about parking, there is parking available and from there a shuttle leaves for the cave. Romance at its best.
Gallipoli (112km)
Gallipoli is located on a small peninsula on the Ionian Sea. We ourselves have enjoyed a nice dip in the lukewarm seawater several times, a fairly quiet beach where you go with your towel and enjoy the sun, no busy tourist affair. This is also a great place for good food, enjoy a delicious fresh fish carpaccio, mussels or pasta in the afternoon at Buena Vista Gallipoli. In the evening you can enjoy a beautiful sunset on the terrace of Il Bastione, the food was great and the view magical and romantic, the "Fresh catch of the day" also gives you so many choices, but other dishes are also possible.
